Dan Blank Wins iPad
Dan Blank, Head Groundskeeper at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Nebraska, recently won a drawing for an iPad from Diamond Pro (TXI) during the Sports Turf Manager’s Association Annual Conference and Exposition in Austin, TX. Registration was easy for attendees staying at the official conference hotel, the Hilton Austin, because the only requirement for registration was to show their hotel room key (sponsored by Diamond Pro) and drop their business card.
Dan spent the previous three years as Head Groundskeeper for the Buffalo Bisons. He also previously spent a season as Head Groundskeeper for the Birmingham Barons, served as an Assistant Groundskeeper for the Louisville Bats, and completed internships with both the Milwaukee Brewers and St. Paul Saints. Originally from Winona, MN, Dan is married to Hannah Orr Blank.
Dan’s first season in Omaha will be a busy one as TD Ameritrade Park will host home games for Creighton University Baseball, the 2011 Missouri Valley Conference Tournament, and the 2011 NCAA Men’s College World Series. His wish is that the iPad has an app for that.
